[ cabarEt Numerique ]
This project seeks to revisit the world of the Music Hall Revue by integrating the projection of a live video creation. It combines Ilia's experience—choreographer and dancer—in cabaret around the world with Etienne's expertise in live digital creation, thanks to a device integrated into the set design. The duo appropriates the most famous numbers: Feathers, French Cancan, and Contortion.
For these first two numbers, the digital visual creation is produced live through the videographer's manipulation of various materials within a module placed on stage. A camera captures the materials inherent to the revue—fabric, feathers, rhinestones—as well as graphic elements generated by the music—visual patterns inspired by Art Deco—and projects them onto the bodies and costumes of the two dancers.
